Our story

Five thousand years of stories. Nine million visitors a year.

We’re a group of Indians who love to travel. We’ve baked croissants in Paris and rolled pasta in Tuscany — and come home wondering why the country with the deepest story on earth is the hardest one to plan.

History lessons bored half of us. History itself never did.

Told right, history is the most beautiful thing a place can give you. We are not historians — we are Indians proud of ours. Our country has more to offer than almost anywhere on earth, and this is our bold step to show you.

How we work

We do the reading. We do the research. We keep checking.

We research deeply, cross-check authoritative sources, and continually update every guide with corrections from travelers and people on the ground. Then we chase down what the plaques and the brochures leave out, and tell you the India story unfiltered: the good, the bad and the ugly. The palace AND the queue. The sacred lake AND the fake priest working its steps. That honesty is exactly what makes India an adventure instead of a brochure — and you deserve to walk in prepared, not surprised.

This is our India — new India: young, loud, proud of its five thousand years and impatient for its next fifty. Come open-minded. You’ll have a great time and an unforgettable one. We promise you that much.

Nine million.

That’s roughly how many foreign travelers India welcomes in a year — France welcomes ten times as many. It isn’t for lack of trying: Incredible India campaigns run worldwide. It’s that good information about India is strangely hard to find, and navigating the country is harder still. The magic is real; the map to it was missing. That embarrassed us enough to build one.

India, without the noise.

We don’t tell you the hundred things you could do. We tell you the five you must not miss — the ones that make a trip memorable. Five experiences, twelve photographs, seven guides to a state, one voice that has done the reading for you. And when you come home: a thousand photos is not one memory. The Memory Book is our way of letting you take the memory with you.
